"The Madog Center for Welsh Studies at the University of Rio Grande is an outgrowth of the North American Association for the Study of Welsh Culture and History (NAASWCH). The first conference was held at Rio Grande in 1995 with the generous support from the National Welsh-American Foundation, the Welsh National Gymanfa Ganu Association, other Welsh donors, the Ohio Humanities Council, and the University of Rio Grande." The Welsh-American Heritage Museum is housed in the Old Welsh Church in Oak Hill, Ohio. It seeks to preserve the Welsh heritage and artifacts of Southeast Ohio, and foster ties with Welsh throughout the world.

Madog Society Sponsors Cwrs Cymraeg (A Welsh Language Course). Language learning for all ages and levels of fluency. Venue changes from year to year. Held in late July for a week. Registration starts during the winter. Scholarship deadline is May 1.

NAASWCH (North American Association for the Study of Welsh Culture and History). Has a long list of links appropriate for both amateur and professional researchers. NAASWCH holds a biennial conference in North America where scholars of history, literature, language and the arts present and discuss the results of their research.

Welsh National Gymanfa Ganu Association Sponsors the North American Festival of Wales, Labor Day Weekend. The purpose of The Welsh National Gymanfa Ganu Association is "to preserve, develop, and promote our Welsh religious and cultural heritage and our religious and cultural traditions, including, but not limited to the Gymanfa Ganu*, and to do all things necessary and proper to accomplish and enhance the same". Under "other links" are recipes, music, genealogy links.

* Y Gymanfa Ganu (The Guh-mahn'-va Gah'-nee), a Welsh cultural tradition, is a hymn-singing festival characterized by choral singing in four part harmony which dates back more than 150 years.
