Thank you for making this past year so successful for WSCO. We've enjoyed having you participate in our events, and thought you'd like to know what lies ahead. | |
| On February 25th, there are the seminars and banquet for St. David's Day. It will be held at the Clintonville Woman's Club, where the food is reputed to be marvelous, and we'll be royally entertained by our friend and fabulous basso, J. B. Davis, and his lovely wife, Barbara, a well-known soprano. Plus, there will be surprise entertainment! Reduced price meals for children will be featured, so please bring your whole family. An essential part of that day is the election of new board members and officers. If you are interested in serving on the board, or are on the board and would like to run for an office, please contact the head of the Nominating Committee, Bruce Davis at 486-3926, or at CreativeFire@Columbus.IT.com. | ||
| Our Columbus Welsh Singing Society has begun practicing, and we welcome your participation, no matter your level of singing competence. Director Ann Gillard promises to make all of us good singers, and we'll also be available for weddings, birthdays, or funerals, as well as local performances. Please join us. Contact Ann Gillard at J.R.Gillard@att.net | ||
| The Welsh Genealogy Class has had many meetings and great success with their dedicated researcher. If you are interested in a new class contact Bruce Davis. | ||
| The Jackson County Bus Tour is being planned for September 30th. Contact Bob Donaldson at WireFoxes3@aol.com if you'd like to reserve a place. | ||
| Our web site is continually being updated andenhanced, thanks to the efforts of Shirley McKee,who has brought us into the 21st century. Please check the web site often as there are maps to events, news, and other items of interest that continue to be added. | ||
| Planning for the WSCO 2007 trip to Wales is well underway, and we're excited about how many of you have expressed an interest in going. Contact Mary Ellen Morgan at MaryEllenMorganl@aol.com for additional information. | ||
| This is your group and you can best enhance it by volunteering for committees, joining the Board and offering suggestions for venues, talent, etc. Please keep us informed of your wants and needs. | ||
| Finally, please remember the Welsh Society of Central Ohio in your estate planning. We are an IRS recognized 501-C-3 organization, which means that your donations to us are fully deductible. If you have stock, real estate, bonds, or other holdings which have greatly increased in value and may be a burden on your estate, we can be a great resource for ensuring that your estate taxes are reduced. | ||
| Your contributions, no matter how large or how small make a direct difference in our daily operations, and this might just be the time for you to underwrite one of our functions in the name of someone you love, or in your own name. | ||
Cofion cynnes, |
