The film has been shown in Wales already, and features the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College and its Madog Center for Welsh Studies, along with several area residents.
"It's fabulous, Watkins wanted to know what part of Wales the southern Ohio settlers came from, why they moved here and what happened to the families after they arrived here, Davis explained. When Watkins retired, he handed over the project to another group of filmmakers, who came to southern Ohio in April 2006 for the film. Before coming to Ohio, they also filmed the Grande Chorale vocal music group from Rio Grande in 2006, when the group performed
in Wales.
When the filmmakers came to southern Ohio, Davis helped arrange meetings between them and the local Welsh-American families, and also helped them find some of the old Welsh churches.
