The Columbus Welsh Singing Society sang as part of the Memorial Day weekend festivities in Radnor, Ohio. Radnor was settled by Welsh immigrants in 1803. The chorus sang, partly in Welsh, at the Congregational United Church of Christ in the morning service and again for the Historical Society in the afternoon.

The director, Ann Gillard, the accompanist, John Davids, and several chorus members are from Radnor, or have ancestors from there, or family who go to church there. Other WSCO members also have roots in Radnor. The chorus toured the Museum following a luncheon provided by the women of the Congregational Church. In the afternoon, Mary Piatt presented a program about gravestones, monuments, and their care and restoration. The program was topical and a fine introduction to a tour of the cemetery afterwards.

The chorus will sing again at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Sunday, June 17 at 7pm. St Andrews is located at 1450 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. The public is welcome.

The chorus always welcomes new members. You don't need to know Welsh! Practices are held on the first Tuesday of the month at Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 North High Street, Worthington.

For additional information, contact Ann Gillard.
