The CWSS celebrated the holiday season with several successful and pleasant events. On November 29th, we participated in the annual Advent service at the Welsh museum in Oak Hill. It was a lovely afternoon; the children's chorus from the local elementary school presented several songs, Mrs. Claus read a Christmas story and our group sang five Christmas songs in Welsh and English. We led the audience in singing some traditional Christmas carols, and the afternoon concluded with a Te Bach. It was truly an inspiring day.
On the evening of December 15th we presented a program at the Friendship Village of Columbus for a large and enthusiastic audience.
Our group got together at La Scala on December 8th for a Christmas dinner party. It was fun to share a purely social evening.
Plans are under way for our St. David's Day celebration. We will be singing in Radnor, Ohio on Saturday, March 6th.
Remember, we always welcome new members. If you are interested in joining us for some Welsh singing, please Email me at j-gillard(at)sbcglobal(dot)net or call me at (614) 885-8806.
