The importance of discovering your distant Welsh cousins cannot be over-emphasized:
A number of years ago, I was reading "Calvinists Incorporated" by Anne Kelly Knowles; In it she said she got her information on the Alban families from a William [Bill] R. Alban in the Columbus area. I contacted him and he turned out to be a double 4th cousin [our g-g-grandfathers were brothers and our g-g-grandmothers were sisters] and he had a vast library on the Alban/ Morgan lineage, including those still in Wales.
So, when 8 members of my family went to Wales in 2004, we had a cousin to contact in Wales that we arranged to meet at the National Eisteddfod in Newport, Wales. During our trip, she then introduced us to our other cousins who raise Welsh Cob horses on the Alban ancestral farm and 3 other farms in Cardiganshire in West/central Wales. It made the trip so very, very special and personal as you can imagine.
Except for the one Alban sibling that stayed in Wales, all the other siblings emigrated in 1834-35, by way of the Welsh Hills to the Jackson/Gallia County area and were among the founders of Moriah Church.
I might also note that Dan & Mary [Hughes] Edwards were the first of the Brynele Clan to emigrate, emigrating with the Alban families in 1835. They are the ancestors of Mary Ellen Morgan and Diana Wafe.
So, to make these connections, it helps to be where the Welsh gather.......like the Picnic, Bus Trip, Gymanfa Ganu, Te Bach, St. David's Day events ........ reading Welsh books.

A small tombstone in Ystrad Fflur, Strata Florida Abbey, reads:
“The left leg and part of the thigh of Henry Hughes Cooper was cut off and interred here, June 18, 1756”
The rest of Henry emigrated to the USA.
