Since the last Dragon Tales we experienced a wonderful gymanfa ganu. Many of those in attendance felt that this was one of the best. All those who worked so hard deserve our deepest thanks.
The board, under Chair Mary Ellen Morgan, is planning an outstanding St. David’s Day celebration which you will find described on the front page of this issue. If Mary Ellen contacts you for help, please respond positively.
The board has an opening. Please consider serving as a board member. We meet 9 times a year and the meetings are very productive as well as fun. If interested, contact any board member. You can reach me at (614) 475-3831 or (614) 570-3765.
I have enjoyed serving as your president this year. You will be electing a new slate of officers at our meeting on March 1st. I am sure they will enhance the goals of our society and I wish them well.
In an effort to eliminate confusion regarding WSCO’s membership “year” for those who pay annual dues, the Board voted to switch to a calendar year from the long-standing March 1st through the end of February timeframe.
This will also mean that your membership rosters can be distributed earlier.
Starting in 2008, if your dues are received by February 15th, you will be included in the membership roster which will be distributed at our St. David’s Day luncheon on March 1st. Those not attending will be sent their copy.
“Pro-rated” dues no longer exist – there will be no carry-over for those paying late in the year. All annual dues will expire at the end of the calendar year.
